This is a wonderful vintage electric Coca-Cola wall clock that says "Drink Coca-Cola in Bottles." I believe it to have been made in the 1920s to the early 1930s by the W. L. Gilbert Company--a well known and highly regarded clock company in existence from 1871 to 1976. The company was located in Winsted, Connecticut.The clock's dimensions are the following: 14" square (the door has an extra 1/4" in length.) 4 1/4" deep. The paper clock face is 11.5" in circumference.This particular clock has been in the family for 29 years. It's been on the kitchen wall the whole time. My husband bought it at a farm auction in Illinois. We're selling this clock because we live in the country w we experience power surges in the electricity every so often. Every time this happens, this clock runs backward--it thinks it's a time travel clock. As soon as it's set to move forward, all is fine. But since we have another vintage wall clock, we've decided to find this one a new home. Apart from this idiosyncrasy, the clock works beautifully. In about 1995 a new motor, plug and cord were added to it. The motor says:AC OnlyAmerican TimeLanshireMade in USATYPF XL7105-125 60HZ 2WI don't know if t was ever a closed back on this clock--except for the motor and cord, it's in the same condition as it was when purchased.
