This Depression era animal figural satin glass powder jar has a striking design featuring an elephant in a standing position with his trunk down. The elephant has very nice detail on it showing the tail, tusks, eyes, and ears. T are 3 tiny chips on the inside rim of the bottom piece other wise it is in mint condition.I believe it was produced by the Greensburg Glass Co of Greensburg, PA, This piece is made in a lovely green and pink satin depression glass. Measuring about 5 1/2" tall x 6 1/2" across the base. Both the jar and it's lid are in excellent condition. I purchased this many years ago from a centennial farm house.This is a very beautiful piece. Don't let this rare find slip away.
