Vintage ELGIN 18K Gold Art Deco Ladies Watch This is a beautiful 18K solid gold Vintage Art Deco Ladies Watch made by Elgin. The solid gold filigree style case is rectangular with cut corners and has an antique style crown. The case measures 31mm from lug to lug and is 17mm wide, not including the crown. It also has some enamel decoration. The back is marked Wadsworth 18K Solid Gold, Number 1268013, and has the initials "EEK" engraved on the outside. The dial is in excellent condition with blue hour and minute hands with gold number markers and is also marked Elgin. The crystal is in very good condition, but has a small scratch near the 10 position which I only noticed with the aid of an eye loop. The watch movement is marked Elgin, 17 Jewels and is numbered 28945755 which should date this watch to 1925. The watch movement is unusual in the way the bridge work and the gold train operate in a straight line as opposed to other movements that have a round ebauche. I'm not sure if the train is gold or gold colored, it's hard to tell. The strap is genuine Snake Skin and is 12mm wide. Imagine, this watch is over 82 years old and still looks as good as new.
