This is an old Elgin American cigarette case probably from the 1940s or 50's. Looks to be in brass with a spring action grill to hold cigarettes. Signed ELGIN AMERICAN - MADE IN U.S.A. Comes with the silk lined box and flannel pouch with Elgin American logo. Measures approx. 5" x 3 1/4" when closed. Weighs about 4 3/4 ounces. There is a lite monogram on this one "Boots". The clasp & cigarette holding bar are in working order. The inside and outside a real nice with minimal noticeable wear. There is a storage pouch with original satin lined box with minimal age & wear Cigarette area depth 3 1/2 inches This cigarette case is in absolutely fantastic condition. There are no discernable dents, retains it's original color with no discoloration or rust with a few marks on the exterior but more from storage than use. The clasp snaps shut and the lighter pops open when the case is closed. They have done a wonderful job protecting this vintage lighter. Strating at a low 999 to let the market set the value. email questions are welcomed.
