Here's a nice 1950's-era English Elliott mantel clock in a golden oak case. The clock chimes Westminster and Whittington on the quarters. This clock has a platform escapement and an automatic night silencer on the chiming and striking from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. This clock is running and chiming, but selling as is because I don't know the last time it was serviced. All chime rods are present and unbroken. The front and back doors close properly and stay closed. There are few minor scuffs on the outside of the case shown in the pictures. A portion of the upper molding is separated from the case. This could be detached and re-adjusted, but I will leave that to the buyer. This clock came without a key, so I had to use the key from another Elliott clock I own, but as I said, it is running and chiming. The chime hammers may need adjustment after shipping.Speaking of shipping, I've bought and sold an number of clocks, so I know how a clock should be properly packed. I used plenty of large bubble wrap and packing peanuts. All moving parts are immobilized. The clock is 9 inches high, 9 inches wide, and 5 inches deep. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you.
