This Edwardian enamel 'Board of Trade' Labour Exchange sign from Carlisle can be dated fairly precisely. The Labour Exchange Act was introduced in 1909 and King Edward VII died in 1910.You can see from the picture that it is quite badly corroded especially at the bottom but it is still an interesting historical piece.Sorry about the exclamation marks in the title but I've been caught out twice now by bidders who do not read the description thoroughly. COLLECTION ONLY FROM DE55 NEAR ALFRETON
