Vintage English Toffee Tin by Walter's Palm. The scene on lid is from the 1888 Gilbert & Sullivan opera, The Yeomen of the Guard. The Jester on the right is Jack Point and the girl is Elsie Maynard. The tin measures 3 inches X 8 inches and 1 1/2 inches high. The bottom is embossed: Walter's "Palm" Toffee, London, England. There is also an ink stamp on the bottom that looks like "Peerie's Select". There is some discoloration inside the tin, but no dents. It is one of the oldest and most interesting vintage tins that I've seen. International Buyers: Your participation in my auctions is always welcome.
