This enigmatic ERIKA portable typewriter with Leatherette case and original key for the lock is in excellent condition. It was made in East Germany during the 50's and early 60's and marketed under a variety of names. In Europe it was sold as the "Erika", as "Boot" in England, and as Aztec. Typewriters were sold in the early 60's when it was illegal to import items from Iron Curtain countries.
