Razor hones can also be used to sharpen surgical tools, woodworking tools, and other tools that require fine edges. This straight razor hone is completely ready to be used. The winning bidder would get a vintage, very good quality, like new, newly lapped on both surfaces the hone, completely flat and smooth Genuine " ESCHER " Type Straight Razor Hone. Description of the "ESCHER Type" Water Razor Hone This Straight Razor Hone has recently been lapped and it is completely flat and smooth. All edges of the hone have been rounded to prevent pressure flaking on the edges of the hone , good for the user. There is no box for this razor hone and I will pack it nice and tight before I ship out. This water razor hone is to be used only with water.This straight razor hone is a vintage hone and is free of defects--no cracks, chips or nicks. The lapped surfaces are completely flat and smooth. Please see pictures for close-up views. Pictures are part of my description. This straight razor hone is in a very, very good, mint condition and a lot of age left to be useful. The color of this razor hone is " dark gray " to black.The following are the dimensions of ESCHER Type WATER hone. Answer: I own an ESCHER Razor Hone. The one I am auctioning and the one I own have exactly the same texture, smoothness, razor sharpness and honing quality since I test sharpened my straight razor using both of them. Note: The last picture in the pictures is an actual ESCHER Water Razor Hone picture and I provided it as a reference. It is just for the reference purpose.
