For your consideration is an Antique/Vintage Sunbonnet Grandma Applique quilt. This quilt is 12 blocks, 18" x 18". Overall it measures 62" x 86". The quilt top is made of feed sacks with each applique made up of 10 pieces. They are connected by 3" strips. It appears that the quilt top was made sometime in the 1940's. The back of the quilt is a flannel of Raggedy Ann and Andy from the 1970's. Either the quilt was finished at in a later decade or a second backing was added. The condition of the quilt itself is very good as far as the stitching. There are a couple of places around the edge that have come loose and will need to be tacked. The appliques are nice and tight, no fraying. The condition of the quilt as far as appearance on the face side is a considerable amount of staining. I did not make an effort to clean them, as I did not want to cause any damage. Please view the pictures to see samples of the stains.
