This Auction is for one (1) full size, open Feedsack, 35 x 43 inches. It is a solid, medium yellow. The true color is closest to the center and lower edge of the photo. If you need to see a better photograph, please ask, and I will ask my husband to attempt a better image. Condition is excellent, with no fading. Besides stitching holes, it has two small holes. One is about 1/4" in diameter, and lies 12" from one selvedge edge, and 8" from one end of the sack. The other is about 3/16" in diameter, and lies near the centerline, about 2" from one selvedge edge. There is one pin-point-sized dark spot, 11" from one selvedge edge, and 19" from one raw end. It shows more on one side of the sack than on the other, where it is barely visible. There are two very light brown spots. One is about 1" x 2", and lies 7" from one selvedge edge, and 10" from one raw end. One is about 1/8" x 5/8", and lies 12" from the same selvedge edge, and 7" from the other raw end. There is one small slub (original flaw), about 1/8" wide, and 5/8" long. It lies about 14" from one selvedge edge, and 3" from one raw end. Again, this auction is for 1 feedsack, but I have eight of these. If you are the winning bidder of this auction, I will also give you the opportunity to buy as many of the other 7 sacks as you desire. If not, I will create separate listings to sell the remaining sacks. The other 7 sacks all have some flaws. I consider this to be the best one, but several others are almost as good. Flaws are primarily either slight fading along the fold lines, or groups of small light brown spots. If you are interested in the other sacks, I will be happy to describe them further for you. Just send me an email, and tell me how many you would be interested in buying. I will describe the best ones up to that number fully. Note: These sacks are not all exactly the same color. If you wish to buy several, and you want them all to match as closely as possible, please let me know that, and I will match them for you as well as I can. If you wish to purchase multiples of this sack after you win the first one, you must let me know within 3 days. Otherwise, I will list the additional sacks separately. This is one (1) feedsack from a collection of several hundred that belonged to my mother and grandmother. They have always been cherished and treated with care. Most were collected in the 1950’s, and I can remember going to the feed store with both my parents, so that my mother could point to the ones she wanted! In many cases, I have more than one feedsack of a certain color or pattern. They will be listed separately, with any individual flaws carefully described. Please check my other listings for more feedsacks of the same or other colors or patterns. All have been opened. All have the usual stitching holes. All have been recently laundered and kept carefully folded. A few, especially the solid colors, have fading marks where the folds have been. I will try especially hard to describe those when they are present. If no such description is included in the particular feedsack listed, then you may assume that it has no obvious fading. All of my items come from a smoke-free home. I pack carefully and ship quickly; usually the next day after payment is confirmed. If I receive your payment early in the day, your shipment may go out the same day. I charge actual shipping (which may include the minimal cost of a container if not shipping Priority) +Delivery Confirmation (or Certificate of Mailing to International destinations).
