Unfortunately this first edition The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway was stored in a book vault that had it's power turned off years ago. So, there is significant wear and damage from mildew, and partial splitting to the binding on the inside front cover. Yes, that is sad, I agree. But, this is still a first edition Hemingway "A" copy, with it's dust cover. It is what it is, and no pages are stuck, or damaged.Payment within 4 days please , or the item will be re-listed. Apologies for this stipulation, but way, WAY too many non-paying, or very late paying bidders lately. Folks, if you are going to take long to pay, just let me know before the 4 day time period, as I will work with you. Communication works wonders. Please do not bid if you have no intention on honoring your commitment, this is simply a sheer waste of time for everyone involved.
