Spectacular floral pattern, MINT condition, Sterling silver spoon by Paye & Bake, North Attleboro, Massachusetts This is approx. 7" long, a fairly typical modern iced tea spoon length. I have no idea about the age of this piece, but it the company produced spoons from 1901 to 1960 and this has all the looks of a very early piece. It is lightweight and the floral pattern is on the back as well as on the front. Really very, very pretty. I am not sure about the intended use of this spoon, but it would be dandy for fishing olives or other condiments out of their brine. It would also serve nicely to sift the floating tea leaves out of your cup or teapot. If you would like close-up photos of any part of the spoon, please send me an email. The accompanying photo does not do this justice, as the spoon is richly detailed, sparkling Sterling, but the light available gives this photo a sort of coppery sheen.
