You are currently watching a vintage Framus 6-string banjo in good condition. The banjo was tested and approved in our shop and meets our standards for quality and playability.Framus was a German instrument manufacturing company that went out of business in the late-1970's. Judging by the serial number, this "banjuitar" was made in Germany in 1968, making it over forty years old. The banjo has 19 frets adorned across a beautifully-aged rosewood fretboard. The pearloid dot inlays have held up well, and the head still looks fresh. The neck and sides of the instrument appear to be mahogany, and the back appears to be a stained maple. Both the saddle and the tailpiece are in great shape. There are cosmetic dings all around the back, the back of the neck, and on the headstock. These are merely cosmetic flaws and do not hinder the extraordinary playability of this fine instrument. The banjo was restrung with nickel strings and was set up with very comfortable, low action. The instrument projects very well and is best played with a plectrum or fingerpicks. Made in Germany.SERIAL: 74680 68CThank you for watching this item, and we hope to hear from you!EST. 1979
