Featured is a large vintage litho print of the work of artist Fred Grayson Sayre. Fred Grayson Sayre (1879-1938) was an American engraver, illustrator, and painter. Sayre moved to California (Glendale and Palm Springs) from the midwest in 1915 to recover from a severe case of diphtheria. By 1922, Sayre was exhibiting in San Francisco and Los Angeles.The beautiful desert landscape shows majestic mountains in the background and blooming windswept dunes in the foreground. It measures 22" x 28" and is in excellent condition. The artists printed signed signature is in the lower left corner.Chuck Olson CollectionChuck Olson spent over 40 years collecting and traveling the United States in search of unique vintage prints. He was especially interested in prints that were printed for use on calendars in the "Age of the Calendar" from 1900-1960.
