~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~ This buy it now is for this WONDERFUL Vintage French Puy Lentil grain sack dating c 1940~*~ More wonderful treasures from my last European trip~*~ These charming large, vintage, Hessian sacks have the most beautiful printing! They were used to transport and store "Lentils Vert au Puy and are from the Auvergne Region of France, they date from the 1940's~ Each sack even comes complete with a few original, vintage Puy Lentils! :) ~*~ this sack is just so wonderful and would make a wonderful Wall decoration or lovely for framing. ( please see example) These sacks are not washable as the ink will remove with washing, so they are only for decoration~*~ ~ The hessian is a lovely open weave and is deep nutty brown. ~*~ The sides of this sack are all hand stitched using a blanket stitch. The lovely stamping is only on the front, the back is plain Hessian~*~ This is is a magical textile with so much French country charm. A rare and wonderful glimpse into times gone by. ~*~ ~*~ ( Sack 7) ( I have taken the time to photograph each sack individually so you will recieve the exact sack in the photograph~*~ This sack is perfect for someone looking for a rustic touch of beauty!
