This is an absolutely gorgeous three-drawer commode/vanity. A variety of impressive veneers are used throughout the piece. The unique half-round raised center features four book-matched pieces of hardwood trimmed with hardwood cove molding. The outer drawers are dressed with a burl, the center drawer with carved veneers and a sunburst medallion. The top sports a veneer of highly figured tiger stripe. Carved veneers trim the mirror and legs.This is a truly unique piece, incorporating art deco and old french design sensibilities. From the multi-level serpentine top to the gently rounded outer corners, this vanity is sure to be an heirloom you'll treasure.This piece was restored at some time in the past, rendering the veneer cracks hard to see and hard to photograph. The very top carved piece that holds the mirror in place does not seem to be original.This commode stands 69-1/2" high.
