Handsome old French Neoclassical/Empire style tole lamp in dark red and gilt. From a very good Dallas estate. AGE DISCUSSION: An old estate piece and guaranteed vintage and NOT any type of modern reproduction. I would date it to ca. 1925 - 1950 (early to mid 20th century). ALL REAL MATERIALS: guaranteed genuine painted tole and NOT any type of lesser materials and check out hte pics; you won't be disappointed. REAL FRENCH TOLE: Well marked on the underside with a foil sticker "Base Made in France" as shown, guaranteed real French tole. CONDITION/AESTHETICS: A handsome piece in overall excellent condition, as shown. However, please note that it *is* old and the tole shows **several dents and related paint loss** as shown in the close up pics. Overall, the pics are very honest and show the condition well and you won't be disappointed. No warpage or structural problems, stands straight and true with no problems. Condition is all original, no repairs or overpainting detected on careful inspection. No missing pieces and it retains it's classic arrow-form finial, as shown.
