Antique Perfume & Powder Being submitted for auction is a splendid vintage perfume & powder jar vanity setting. The bottles & jar are made of glass, and each sit inside an ornate metal holder. The glass has a pressed cube design...reminds me of American Fostoria pattern. They are accented with porcelain miniature portraits of romantic couples. The little porcelain pieces measure 3/4" x 1"...I reviewed them closely, and believe the brown bottom is handpainted...with the couples being transferware . The bottles measure 6 inches in height (including the stoppers). The powder jar measures 3.25 in height, and is 3.25 x 3 inches square. I reviewed the pieces closely...and noted that one of the porcelain pieces has come off the metal holder...some light discoloration on the metal. You will note that the 2 bottles are very clear & shiney....the jar lid will need some cleaning...powder residue. I wasn't sure how to remove the metal design, and was afraid to give it a bath. Bottles cleaned up very nice...as well as the powder base. And that is it! I mean the glass looks wonderful...no chips were found....metal nicely intact with no bending. Even the stoppers are free of chipping. Truly a wonderful vanity set that you can cherish for many years to come...
