UP FOR AUCTION: VINTAGE 1983 ENESCO GARFIELD & ODIE MUSIC BOX PLAYS: " COMES SANTA CLAUS" What a precious collectible! Garfield is dressed as Santa riding in a sled full of toys with Odie wearing antlers and serving as the reindeer. The sled is slightly elevated above the glistening snow which is also sprinkled with toys and a Christmas tree. When the hand wind-up music box plays, the sled moves up and down in a teeter-saw manner and ever so slightly rocks from side to side causing Garfield movement and it looks like he is waving his hand ( He sits on a spring and both arms are spring-held enabling the movement.) - Three toys (teddy bear, doll and car) are also attached by a spring and move while the song plays. At its highest point, the music box measures 6-7/8" and the snow-topped base, at widest point, is 5" - The snow drapes down over a green base with the on/off switch . Everything works perfectly - It is in excellent condition. Have provided you with images of all sides & top/bottom. The images are pretty self-defining, but do not project the music box's true beauty as the colors are more vibrant and bright, and I couldn't quite capture that with my camera. T he original "ENESCO Musical" sticker is still on the bottom of the base with title of song listed. The appropriate licensee marked data is also listed (see image).
