Vintage General Electric Radio Model 115 W (1948) This white plastic, General Electric AM Radio, is from the post WWII era which features a faux translucent front panel and a wide dial face offset by neo Art Deco toffee colored original knobs. After refurbishment the radio plays as expected. Beauty is the radio's hallmark with the white cabinet being near flawless and only a short, approximate ½", superglue stabilized hairline on the bottom of the radio well out of sight, and some faint scratches. The radio is a beauty to display and a pleasure to hear playing. A radio like this only comes along occasionally.Approximate Dimensions: 12 ½" x 8" x 7 ½"Tubes: 12SA78, 12SQ7, 12SK7, 35Z5, 50L6My radio refurbishments include one or more of the following as needed:Cabinet, chassis, and tube cleaningReplacement of out of tolerance capacitors and resistorsElectrolytic capacitor replacementLubrication of tuning capacitor bearingsOn/off switch cleaningAntenna, oscillator, and I-F alignmentHairline fracture bondingCabinet joint bondingPower cord/plug replacementSpeaker repairKnob repairDial cover cleaning/replacementAdd a back panelTube replacement for weak tubesI-F replacementOther parts, component replacementBench testing--------------------------WARNING!!!!-----------------------The high voltages encountered in antique/vintage vacuum tube read more
