This auction is for a hand painted Exquisite porcelain figurine, Dresden Figurines are hand made, they are very Delicate and Fragile, mint condition is some times hard to find due to age, deterioration and delicate nature of the Dresden. Great care goes into making these porcelain figurines, the "slip" or "dress" is poured into hand crafted molds and completely air dried before it is baked. Real cotton lace impregnated with porcelain clay is used to dress the figurine with the characteristic ruffles. The figurines are then glazed and baked. The lace burns away leaving the delicate pattern in porcelain. They are then hand painted and baked a final time. This Dresden Figurine is of a lady dressed in a lovely white lace dress with light blue lace trim fanning her self with a gentle man playing and interment? It is marked on the bottom with a Crown/N/Dresden and the impressed #375 it also looks like t is a letter L it could be a J Iâe(tm)m not sure and the letter M! This figure measures 4.5" tall; t is a flower missing from the green leafs in the front and a very small piece of lace missing along the back, please see pictures! This Figurine is in very good condition; except for a missing yellow flower and a small piece of lace on the back again please see pictures; this does not distract from its beauty and is not very noticeable! read more
