Up for auction is this Gibson "The Paul" electric guitar. The first model of this line was manufactured in 1978 and continued until 1982. Standard features includedsuch items as the Tune-O-Matic nickel-plated bridge, dual volume and tone controls and a 3 position pick-up selector. This particular model features a solid walnut body and neck with an ebony 22 fret fretboard. This particular model was manufactured in 1979 at the plant in Kalamazoo, MI. and the date code on the neck shows a manufacturer date in March of 1979. The guitar is in pretty good condition, straight neck with no warp and no buckle rash.It looks like parts of it have been refinished as the headstock is missing the Gibson logo on the front and the rear Made in USA has been sanded down.The pickups feature one Seymour Duncan and the other is unmarked. It may be an original or an aftermarket.The input jack is temperamental and should be re soldered or replaced.Please only serious bidders, too old and tired to be farting around with tire kickers.Included to the winning bidder is an original fully lined Univox guitar case which fits it like a glove.
