Vintage Art "Girl with a Kitten" by Jean-Baptiste Perronneau Canvas Print Portrait This is a canvas print of a circa 1745 portrait by French painter Jean-Baptiste Perronneau. He is famous for his French portraits of young misses, and this one is known simply as “Girl with a Kitten.” It comes mounted with an ornate vintage frame that measures 11 inches by 13 inches by ¾ inch. See the pictures. There are condition issues with the canvas portrait where a dimple is located about 1 ¾ inches to the left of the girls chin in the blue area of canvas. It is a very small indentation that might be gently rubbed out from the canvas back. Apparently this canvas was laid flat at some time and an object was inadvertently set upon it. The frame needs cleaning, and there are small areas of nicks and dings on the frame, which can easily be restored. The back of the painting has had the paper lifted to view the condition of the canvas. Annotations were found there. See the pictures for details.
