Vintage Glass Fish Net Float Roller, Rolling Pin, Torpedo Float, nice!. I've heard these called a rolling pin float, a torpedo float, a roller, and a fatty. I am not sure what the correct term is, but I do know that it is 6 inches long and 2-1/4 inches wide at the fattest place tapering to a bulb end. This Japanese fishing net float is in good condition with wear common for fishing floats that have spent their life at sea. T are some very minor sanded, (etched), areas, visible by holding this float up to a strong light. I've seen the term "beachcomber" condition used for these collectibles. The seal button is large on these rolling pins, and this fatty is made with heavy thick glass with impurities, inclusions and bubbles from the Japanese glass manufacturing and float making process. T are a couple of the bubbles in this float that apear to have something imbedded in them, and one of the bubbles has lost the exterior skin and is somewhat rough. The interior of the bubble is intact and tfore cannot ever leak. Minor, but this needs to be brought to everyones attention. See the photos. Please read the small print below photos. Small print may save big headaches. I double box most fragile items. I put cardboard on all paper products. Do not ask for a reduction in shipping and handling, unless you plan on sending me the envelope, boxes and padding to go with it. Time is money, and wrapping these items properly requires time, and the purchase and/or collecting of the shipping containers, or packaging. I do not just "throw" them in an envelope or box. I use Media Mail, Priority Mail, Parcel Post Mail, along with UPS, FedEx and DHL. for shipping. The method of shipment is generally specified in the item description. I do however, retain the right to use a different method than described. If I made an error in the description, and it is not what you thought it was, let me know, and I will refund your items purchase price, including shipping and handling charges. (That is once I get the item back in the same condition sent. Insurance is required on returned items.). Remember terms like "good, very good, nice," etc. are vague terms, but are common terms, that are used frequently by this market place. Terms like "new, mint" are not vague terms. I take numerous photos for visual inspection of condition, but you are expected to form your own opinion of condition or grade. You also can request additional photos and or ask additional questions concerning condition or grade. You must take some responsibility for what you purchase, as I do for what I sell, and tfore do not ask for a refund because of buyer's remorse! Items purchased and sent to an address other than the purchasers, are non-returnable. If you want insurance, let me know. Items damaged in shipping that are not insured are your responsibility. Once it leaves , it is out of my control. If an item is insured, and it is damaged, DO NOT THROW THE BOX OR PACKAGE AWAY. DO NOT MAIL IT BACK TO ME. First e-mail me, then take it to the Post Office, or UPS immediately! Take it in the original box. If it appears it may have been damaged, open it in front of an agent when you get it. Insurance collection is your responsibility. I will send you the necessary papers and will work with you to help get this resolved.
