Great pair of vintage 5 1/2" diameter pottery plates with a hippopotamus design. The back is marked Glidden 35. I think this is the hippo from the Circus Line designed by Ernest Sohn, but I am not positive, as I can't find the circus line hippo pictured online. I know it does not match the hippo made for the menagerie line, and the colors of this plate are more compatible to the Circus line. One of the two plates has two chips, see pics. Great little guys to add to your collection. Pretty heavy weighs two lbs. before packaging.
