Vintage Gone With The Wind Hurricane Oil Lamp circa 1890s Signed by Artist Up for auction is this breath taking vintage hurricane lamp. This was an estate find along with other lamps that I will list. This gorgeous lamp has not seen daylight in about 30 years, it was packed away as inheritance. The base color is a very soft multishade pink (pink is very desirable color when it comes to lamps) hand painted with flowers (looks like climbing roses). The lamp is a little darker in real life than on the pictures. The worksmanship is very nice, it covers the entire front half ot the lamp and shade. The back side of the lamp and shade has pictures of budding roses in a smaller scale than the front. The back side is also SIGNED BY THE ARTIST (JUDY McCARDLE). It is very hard to find these lamps in prestene condition, and even harder to find a signed one. The lamp was electrified many decades ago and was done professionally. The top and bottom of the lamp can be lit up separately or together. T is nice filigree work on the brass part of the lamp with the original pump and oil level meter (full or null marks). The cord is also intact. This lamp is in near mint condition with no chips or cracks just the expected discoloration of the brass that proves the age of this piece. It measures 24 1/2 inches from bottom to top of shade, and 26 1/2 inches read more
