Vintage Gorham Etruscan Sterling Silver 49 Pcs NoReserv We are thrilled to be offering several lots of great sterling silver flatware and holloware, all old, mostly Victorian or Art Nouveau .You are bidding on 49 pieces of vintage sterling silver flatware in the Etruscan pattern by Gorham . This great set has no monograms or removals and features a classic Greek key design. Each knife is faintly marked Gorham Sterling Handle and Gorham Stainless with a Star on the blade and is in good condition. The flat pieces are marked Pat. 1913 Lion Anchor G, the Gorham Hallmarks, Sterling. The slightly larger teaspoons are marked Gorham Sterling. T are 1214 grams [39 troy ounces] of weighable sterling. 7 Lunch Knives - 8 1/2 inches long French Blades 8 Lunch Forks - 7 inches long - also marked T in a diamond 8 Salad Forks - diamond shape cutout - 6 1/4 inches long 8 Butter Spreaders - all silver flat - 5 3/4 inches long 13 Teaspoons - 5 3/4 inches long - also marked T in a diamond 5 Teaspoons - 5 7/8 inches long A gentle hand polishing and this set is table ready.We are starting the pieces at $14.50 per ounce, which is equal to or very near scrap. The silver content alone is worth $16.65 per ounce ($18 x 0.925). More than one view is provided to best show design, construction and condition. We often mark items with Sharpie brand pens. This is easily removable with alcohol, acetone or silver polish. We have been using this type of marker for 25 years and it has never damaged an item.The item pictured is the one that will be shipped to the winning bidder.
