Up for your bidding consideration are these 5 beautiful, vintage repousse silver lampshades. The markings inside are visible with a jeweler's loop and it says, Gorham Co. 015 with a crescent moon facing left. T is a shield with an anchor inside that precedes the word Gorham. I am not an expert with markings but I believe these to be sterling and not plated. These are all in excellent condition with some tarnish, they were bright and shiny when I recieved them but, I will leave them the way that they are unless you ask me specifically to polish them . I did polish a small area with the polishing cloth and they brightened up again. They are a very thin, light-weight metal. The top opening measures 2 1/8", the bottom opening is 5 1/4", and the height is 3 1/4". I purchased these myself on ebay thinking they were silverplated, with the intention of spray-painting them white for a chandelier. However, when I recieved them and looked them over, I strongly believe them to be sterling silver and thus did not have the heart to paint them. So, I offer them up to you.
