Up for auction is a vintage celluloid picture frame (no glass). As you can see, it is a medium green with brown decoration. I am trying to figure out how the brown decoration is applied. It looks like it was etched into the celluloid somehow; anyway, it is definitely on t to stay another 60 years and beyond. The green celluloid has a pattern to it; again, I go with my nonprofessional description -- it has a satiny, marbleized look. The frame stands 6 - 1/4" high from its feet to the tip of the top. Widthwise, its widest measurement is 4 - 1/2" (at top) and it narrows down to 3 - 5/8" at the feet. The oval opening for the picture measures 2 - 3/4" x 4 - 1/4." The back material is felt. The top of the easel is semi-detached, but the frame stands with no problem. T are no chips or cracks on the frame. It is a very attractive frame. Thank you for looking at my auction.
