Up for auction is this beautiful Gretsch snare drum complete with original case. I don't know much about drums so I will do my best to describe what I have but PLEASE ask questions if I omit anything. It is I believe aluminum, maybe brushed aluminum? It's got the Gretsch badge. Inside is the tag which reads; model number 4105 serial number is 89231. A five number serial number makes it a mid 60's era drum. The heads are not original, one is a ludwig and the other a Remo. It has 6 lugs. It is 14" by 6 1/2". Some scratching on the shell, not bad at all. I tried to photograph it from every angle. The snare is not connected as shown on one side. Easy fix. The case has a Gretsch Brooklyn, Chicago plate on it. The case is also in pretty good condition. The stand appears to be vintage. I was told it is the original stand ( I got this from the original owner) but it has no marks so I can't verify that.
