Victorian style turn of the century stickpin. A fiery winged mythological beast (Griffin) in rich 14K Yellow Gold, with Diamond and Natural Seed Pearl. Stick pin is 2 1/4 inches long, No cap. Stickpin has nice clean point and enters material easily. The Griffin is 1/2" wide and 10/16" long. Slight bend in stick portion but nothing major. Box with mother of pearl button like-closing shows the jewelry stone to be in Jackson, Michigan. 14 Karat is marked on the stick portion. No other information available. Purchased in an antique story in the late 1970's in Galena, Illinois. It is rare to find a Griffin Stickpin with both a diamond AND a Natural Pearl.
