Hi everybody! Gungirly's auctions have changed just a little bit so please read the fine print. I'm ending the summer with a BANG & have LOTS of wonderful goodies to list! Offered for auction is a FINE vintage / antique Edwardian to Art Deco era guilloche enameled vinaigrette perfume pendant to wear on a necklace or bracelet. This is a beautiful old piece... very unusual in an acorn shape. Very finely crafted .... the tiny pink rosebuds and blue ribbons are in the enameling.... not just painted on as with some enameled pieces. The metal looks like rose gold .... it is not marked as to content. The bale is signed "Austria". That is the only marking I can find. Most enameled pieces are done on silver so this is exceptionally striking and beautiful. It is in very good vintage condition with no damage. T is one tiny wear mark on the bottom point of the acorn. It measures 1 1/2" long from the top of the bale and about 5/8" across. Traditionally vinaigrettes would have a hidden compartment w a young lady could place a piece of cotton dabbed with her favorite perfume. T would be tiny holes or mesh in the locket or pendant allowing the scent to diffuse and surround a lady with her favorite scent for the evening. Vinaigrettes are not only charming but have become highly collectible pieces and this one is no exception. Don't miss out read more
