This auction is for a vintage Haid mantle clock with Westminster Chimes. It has a pretty stained finish with darker colors going to light. It measures 17 1/2" long, 8 1/2" tall and 4 1/4" deep. It chimes every 15 minutes, each quarter with more chimes than the last, leading up to the full chime and gongs of the hour. It has a pleasant and easy tone to it. It is an 8 day clock and is in good working condition. It is running slow for me right now but t is a fast and slow adjustment on the back but I don't know how to adjust it. I see the - and + to adjust but just can't figure this one out. The movements are marked 75 W. Haid TWO (2) JEWELS MADE IN WEST GERMANY UNADJUSTED 340-020. The back of the case below the door is marked WEST GERMANY as well. The face is marked Haid under the 12 and marked WESTERN GERMANY below the 6. It has roman numeral on it and 3 holes to wind with a key. T are some slight scratches near the key holes. T are a couple scratches to the finish, too but very minor and do not detract. It's a very nice clock with a beautiful sound. Would make a great clock if you can figure out how to adjust the time:) T is no key for this clock but I can tell you that it takes a number 7 key that can be purchased very inexpensively for a couple dollars on ebay or at your local clock shop.
