Vintage Hall's Superior Quality Kitchenware, Jewel Tea Aladdin teapot with infuser, autumn leaf pattern. This teapot is in excellent condition. Gold trim is in great condition. There are 3 pieces to this teapot - pot, infuser and lid. This item would have been manufactured by Hall China for the Jewel Tea Company (1942-1976). Autumn Leaf collection, manufactured by Hall China Compnay of Liverpool, Ohio from 1933 to 1976 and was sold by door-door salesmen. This teapot will brew 7 cups of tea and measures 7 inches in height which includes the lid, diameter of the pot is 6 1/2 inches, length from spout to handle is 11 inches. The infuser can be removed when the tea reaches the strength you like. Jewel Tea was at one time the sixth largest retailer in the country. In the days when housewives did not drive and much of America lived in semi-rural areas, the "Jewel Man" with his delivery wagon of coffee, tea, spices, grocery and household items was a very welcome caller. The Jewel Company, like many coffee and tea home delivery services, offered premiums to their customers to thank them for their patronage. And one of the most popular premiums was the pattern made exclusively for them by Hall China Company, a stylized design of orange, browns and yellows, made elegant by the gold rims adorning each piece.
