Vintage hand quilted, Scrap-pieced Quilt in good condition. Colorful 1940s - 1950s scrap material pieced into long rectangular strips and attached together by sewing machine stitching and then hand quilted to muslin backing. Measures 80" x 62". There are a few small areas of gentle fabric wear/seam tears approximately 1" x 1", barely noticeable, and two larger areas, approximately 2" x 2" of more obvious fabric wear, however, all easily repaired. The front of the quilt is in unstained condition except for two areas: a small 3" x 3" which appears to be a dirt stain and may come out in a gentle wash and the larger stain, which is the most obvious damage noticeable, is one corner area, approximately 13" x 4", which has some light red color dye stain. The muslin backing has some light dirt stains and a few areas of the light red color dye stain also. The border is securely stitched and without any damage. The quilt has a nice, heavy weight to it. The quilt shows very well over-all and one has to look very closely to see the areas mentioned. This pretty scrap-pieced quilt could be thrown as-is over a bed and look great without any restoration needed beforehand. Instant vintage charm!
