This sale is for one Unique New Hand Made Afghani Tribal Gypsy Jew Turkoman Earring Ecclectic Necklace with Modern Beaded Chain Ethnic Jewelry This necklace is put together from several peices of jewelry. There are a pair of earrings, a breastplate and a pendant arranged to produce a one of a kind necklace on a red, patterned, rope of beads. The rope is long enough to go over the head and needs no clasp. The red beads match the stones placed in the coin silver of the individual parts that make up this peice. The beautiful pieces of Kuchi Jewelry originally came from the nomadic Pashtoon tribes that wandered the border areas of Afghanistan and Pakistan, along ancient routes between the seasons, moving down from the mountains in the winter and back to their homes in summer. The word Kuchi is derived from the Persian word meaning migration, in relation to nomads or gypsies, and does not describe a particular group or people, burt rather a state of being. Many different peoples or tribes from these areas have been classified as Kuchi but the original migratory nomads of the Afghanistan and Pakistan area are the Pashtoon.
