This auction is for a vintage wood sewing box/basket with vintage sewing notions. This charming little box was an Estate sale purchase and we are not sure of the exact age, but believe it to be from the 1940's --to early 50's era. Measurements are approx. 10 inches wide x 9 1/2 inches tall x 7 3/4 inches thick front-to-back. Two wood knobs open two doors from the center to reveal the inside of the sewing box. The inside features a small rack to store thread and a larger open area for sewing notions. ALSO, included in this auction is an assortment of sewing notions that were in the sewing basket box. The wood sewing box is not totally full, but does include the following notions: **11 wooden spools of thread--some thread used off all spools--various colors & makers--the most expensive I saw was originally priced .19 cents.
