Up for auction are these vintage Harvard University bookends. They are made by bradley and hubbard. they are in very very nice condition. there is no visible scratches or damage. the felt on the bottom is stained and worn. the metal is either bronze or cast iron with a bronze wash. I put a magnet to it and it stuck. Now bronze is a copper alloy . tin is one of the elements and a magnet sticks to tin. At any rate the bookends are really nice used condition. I don't know how old they are but I am guessing they are at least 60 years old. the bookends stand 6 1/4'' tall and are 6'' wide at the base.
