This collection of 8 women's hats is from my 83 year old aunt's estate. They have been carefully protected and stored since the 1940s / 1950s in this hat box from Black's Department Store, Waterloo, Iowa. The cover says 'Black's'. Hat Box: The box is 14" square, 7" tall. Closes with a green ribbon that is threaded through the base. T are couple slight marks on the base w scotch tape was removed. The cover has 3 of its corner separated, and a larger mark w scotch tape was removed. Still in remarkable condition, with limited scuffing and not crushed or dented. 8 Hats: 1) Black with 4 petal design on top with rhinestone on each. Hat / netting is in perfect condition. Doesn't look like it was ever worn. 2) Black circular velvet with velvet bow across the top. Hat / netting is in perfect condition. Doesn't look like it was ever worn. 3) Brown circular velvet with velvet side decorations. Netting is separated from the hat on one side. Other than that, the hat / netting is in perfect condition. Doesn't look like it was ever worn. 4) Circular Cream with cream netting and white lace around the outter ring. This is in okay condition; not torn, but looks a little soiled like it was worn some.
