Offered for bidding is a substantial HEATH Ceramics open bowl or casserole. It is very large, weighs 7 lbs (without shipping material) and, measuring 14 ½” in diameter by 3 ¼” tall, holds over 5 quarts. It is embossed with the drop T Heath trademark on the bottom. It belonged to my uncle who has been gone for many years and I just inherited it from his clean dry storage. He lived in the Bay Area of California, very near the Sausalito, home to Heath. Upon inspection, it appears not used and is in perfect undamaged condition. There is a very light water mark on the inside bottom surface (as if a hard water mark?) but is hardly noticeable and may just disappear with a light rubbing (I will leave that up to you). Not knowing the year or the name of the pattern, I can say it is truly vintage and would go with many current and past Heath patterns. Dark brown mottled outside glaze; lighter brownish-olive mottled glaze inside. Please consider your monitor may depict that differently. This is quite a rare piece and the size is excellent for quantity baking. Comes to you clean, in excellent condition, from a non-smoking pet-free home! Buyer to pay $18.99 s/h within 24 hours of end of auction . Payment accepted via PAYPAL only.I will package securely as it is very large and heavy, and it will be mailedvia USPS Parcel Post because of the weight. read more
