This is a vintage real horsehair highland dress sporran. The sporran belonged to a member of the Seagrams 100 Pipers Whisky Pipe Band and was worn by a member of the Dysart & Dundonald Pipe Band when they won the Grade 1 World Championships in 1977 and 1978 - a real collector's item!! The name of the 100 Pipers Pipe Band owner is written in ink on the lower left hand part of the back leather. The sporran has a real horsehair white body with 2 real horsehair black tassells with chrome plated embossed thistle cones at top. The top part of the sporran is heavy-metal cast with embossed chrome-plated traditional thistle design. The back is brown real leather, but please note neither a belt nor pouch are included!! The main body part measures 7" wide at max by 9" high, and the horse hair hangs another 8" below the main part. The sporran is in very good condition despite its age and wear. The chrome plating at central top part is scratched, however; also the horsehair could do with being professionally cleaned!!
