Hi, this auction is for a vintage advertising wall clock made by Bravingtons watch and clock makers London England. The Clock was made for Hovis Bread Company which was founded in 1886, and I think still in business, this clock looks to date from the early 20th century, get more info about Hovis breads at (/wiki/Hovis) The tin face is all original and in nice condition, the bezel is brass, there are signs that the hinge has been repaired( see pictures), the glass looks good. The frame of the clock measures 16 inches across and is made of oak with a nice antique patina. The paper label has lots of info and is original as is the back, I did not remove the back, so not to disturb the label, thought I would leave that up to a clock repair person. The small door on the bottom gives access to the pendulum weight. The clock comes with a key, I gave it a turn when I swing the weight is runs for a short time, the hands move but it does not continue to run, I guess it needs a good cleaning and some adjustments, so I am selling the clock as found as is. thanks for looking, Mike
