This is a very unusual hand-painted brooch from the 1920's. The silhouette of a southern bell with hoop skirt, bonnet and bouquet is painted on a white porcelain background with rainbow iridescent coating. T was originally a gilt band around the edge, but it has mostly worn off. The porcelain brooch is mounted on a brass plate with six prongs. And finished with an elongated pin stem and C clasp. In Excellent Condition with the expected patina of the brass mounting and the mentioned wear to the gilding. Measures 1-2/3" x 2-1/4" USPS Domestic First Class Mail will be $3.00.
