It is signed on bottom, Hungarian Artist Margit Tevan (1901 - 1978), she is known for her art deco style during the 1950's. Date of the Toothpick holder is unknown. This is round cylindrical, with art around the top portion - see photos for detail. Has the appearance of sterling, but is not.Figural setting exhibits men, women, children and animals along with one lone tree. Appears to depict chores being done, as I see carried buckets and wheelbarrow. My personal opinion is that this is quite old. Exhibits "Hungarian Hand Made" and makers mark on cleaned bottom. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at condition, if not, expect a full refund and no shipping charges. 73 grams (2.6 oz), 2-3/8" tall. Please check my other listings for many more.
