Rare Pottery wedding vase signed by listed Cherokee pottery artist Rebecca Youngbird. Signature reads: 1940 Wedding Jar R.A. Youngbird Cherokee N.C. as seen in Picture. 6" high by 3.75"wide. Beautiful crosshatch design and nice original patina. A few very insignifigant flea bites on lip as shown in the picture. Wonderful condition for the small delicate nature of this piece and the age of this rare pottery artwork. Rebecca Youngbird is honored as an important poter by the Cherokee nations history documents. Journal of Cherokee Studies, Rebecca Yongbird: An Independent Potter. By Thomas J. Blumer 1980 I am not a collector of pottery or Cherokee artifacts. This was intended as a very special gift and must now be sold. I have put a reserve on the vase but am stating that the reserve is 280. This is less than I paid and hope bidding will be active due to the rarity and quality of this item. Please ask any questions, I will do my best to answer. Thank You.
