5- Vintage International Silver Company XII Triple Spoon Lot, from the historic Bismarck Hotel in 1949This was a beautiful discovery and I will have additional lots coming soon that are stamped with different dates. You are bidding on a lot of 5, international Silver Company spoons, made exclusively for the historic Bismarck Hotel of Chicago! The spoons are stamped with the hotel name and insignia and bare the date 1949. From my research, this was the top quality flatware for the high end hotels of the day. While I can't seem to find the exact metal content and ratios, my understanding is that these were likely triple plated with silver, given the "triple" stamping on the spoons. I polished these some when I obtained them because they were very tarnished and I wanted the details to be clear. That said, I did not take the time to polish them completely because I also want you to see evidence of genuine silver!
