This exquisite estate find is a vintage table cloth with 8 matching napkins ---found in original box, never removed or used! The pure linen cream / ivory oblong cloth measures 60" x 78" ---it will fit a table measuring 36" x 60" to one that is 48" x 72"---this is a table seating for 6 to 8 individuals. The napkins are 16 ½" square. The design is done using ecru colored silk thread ---it is worked on the corners, edges & middle section of the cloth using satin stitch & drawn techniques---included is a printed paper lay-out of the design that was in the box---please see my picture of this & the close-up picture of a small section of the design on the actual cloth! The 8 napkins have a portion of the design at 1 corner---both cloth & napkins have drawn work hems. The cloth & napkins are in the original box with satin ribbon to hold them in place---2 of the napkins are uniquely displayed beneath ribbon in the lid---see pic. The lid of the box is imprinted, "Pure Linen Hand Embroidered In Italy" beneath a small graphic that has the appearance of Venizia / Venice---or perhaps the linens were made on the lace-linen making island of Burano near Venice! The linen is near perfect---1 VERY pale brown surface area made by tape in lid of box---I am CERTAIN that it may be easily removed! The box is VERY tattered---in fact, it consists basically
