This twelve piece set contains the Blessed Mother, St Joseph , the Infant, an Ox and a Donkey, the Three Kings, Three Sheep, and a Seated Camel. They are made of paper mache and are hand painted. They are in excellent condition and date from the late 40's or 50's. One must remember that these are old and t is the normal patina of use. None are soiled. No chips or cracks. The figures measure about 3 inches tall for the kneeling and 5 inches for the standing ones and are marked with the characteristic "Italy" stamp on the base for most of the figures. See Photo. The Marchi Company (later EuroMarchi) was founded in 1930 in Bagni di Lucca Italy. It was one of the three largest and most famous producers of nativities along with Fontanini and Viviani-Kontinental. Check out my other items !
