This is a discontinued piece, as far as we can tell, and it is certainly a little bit unusual, as we have not been able to find exactly the same brooch or pin after looking on eBay and the web. There are claddagh rings, certainly, but not pins or brooches that can be found easily.The pin is marked with the 3-prong candelabrum hallmark on the back, plus the initials J. on the left and A. on the right of the candelabrum bottom, plus the word "STER" in capital letters. All this, from what we have learned, indicates this is an old James Avery work, probably from the 1940's or 50's, but we are no experts in this field, so please take our opinion, and dating, with a grain of salt: please do your homework regarding the details and judge by yourself.This brooch weighs 0.3 oz, as per our electronic postal scale.Although we are always reluctant to ship silver and gold objects abroad, if you are an international eBayer and are interested in this piece, please contact us to discuss shipping arrangements.
